How is XenDirect different from other software?
XenDirect is a 100% web based Student Registration Management system using MS SQL as the core. XenDirect is designed to meet the need of a variety of educational programs including Continuing Education, Community Education, Parks and Recreation, and Literacy Programs. XenDirect is installed on our web server and hosting is provided entirely by Xenegrade Corp. XenDirect has many features non-existent in other registration software.

How do students register for courses?
Students can register for courses using a customizable student registration module call Web Registration. The Web Registration module is linked directly into the same database used by XenDirect allowing for real-time registrations over the web. No uploads or downloads of data are required.

Does my staff have to use the student registration portal to enter registrations?
Your staff will enjoy the exclusive use of XenDirect, our comprehensive web-based student management software system to perform all administrative duties, including registrations, payments, attendance, grading, course management, student management, marketing, system management, reporting, etc. However, some organizations do use the Web Registration module even within the office to enter registrations.

Can my student Web Registration site look like our current website?
Yes. Xenegrade provides you with a template within which you can change colors, fonts, text, banner, and photo. These options can come very close to matching your existing website or we can custom design the pages to look exactly like your current site.

Who performs the maintenance and upgrades to XenDirect?
The XenDirect system and servers are maintained by Xenegrade Corp. System updates are installed and data back ups are performed by Xenegrade Corp. Users do not have to install updates or make data back ups. Users may decide to download data locally using an optional ODBC connection, if desired.

How does the licensing of XenDirect work? Is is one time or annual?
Xenegrade provides 2 basic licensing options. Most customers license annually which does not lock them into any long-term commitments. The annual license fees are very affordable for smaller organizations and includes all upgrades, support and updates. Xenegrade also provides an unlimited license which has a one time fee and an annual support fee that covers all upgrade, updates and support.

Why do you have 3 versions of XenDirect?
Xenegrade offers XenBasic, XenPlus, and XenEnterprise to meet the specific needs of your organization without paying for more than you need. Who hosts XenDirect, Web Registration, and my database?
Xenegrade hosts the system and all costs are included in our one time and annual licensing options. All server maintenance, system and database backups, power, and bandwidth needs are provided by Xenegrade.

Do I have direct access to my database to query my data?
It is your data, so Xenegrade offers an option for you to access your data via an ODBC connection. In addition to the numerous existing report options, there are several methods to search, filter and select data in XenDirect. Included with XenDirect, users have the ability to search and filter almost every data entry form and report using the numerous available search options. With an ODBC connection, users can export all or partial data into a software product like Microsoft Access and use the development wizards to create specialized queries. Users can purchase a third-party software such as Crystal Reports to directly connect to your data and run specialized queries and reports.

How do we keep our data separate from other programs in our organization?
You can set up separate "branch units" as an upgrade option within XenDirect. Your staff users can be given permissions to one or multiple branches allowing them to only work in the branch they have been given permissions. The basic student information can be shared across branches, but all course information is unique to each branch.
